Hawaii Unclaimed Property Law Changes
Posted on Aug 21, 2012 by Tim G. |
Many would say…for the better.
Act 229 made significant revisions to Hawaii’s unclaimed property law; these changes became effective July 1, 2012. Notably, the dual (preliminary & final) reporting process was ditched in favor of a single report that is now due on or before Nov. 1st of each year. The law also imposes fee restrictions on professional locators.
